Missouri Military Academy has provided a structured academic environment to international students for more than 80 years. Students travel to Missouri Military Academy from around the globe to enhance their English skills, complete their secondary (high school) diploma, and gain admittance to some of the best colleges and universities in the United States and around the world.
Our dedicated members of the Admissions Office assist our international students through the admission process. The International Relations Coordinator, Michelle Martinez, assists everyone with appropriate documentation, student visa applications, and safeguards passports and travel documents whenever school is in session. Each admissions staff member is responsible to keep parents informed of each student’s progress and activities.
The
English as a Second Language (ESL) program has been designed to meet the needs of international students based upon the student’s English speaking, reading and writing abilities. Each student is expected to gain college acceptance at the completion of our high school program.
MMA offers a three week English as a Second Language Camp that leads into the start of the Fall term. The ESL Camp is a highly recommended program that not only assists with the learning of English, but also provides an opportunity for new international students to acclimate to their new surroundings at the Academy. Daily study sessions, well-defined expectations and a safe, secure learning environment create the structure that ensures a positive educational experience for each student.
Attendance to the Summer ESL camp is highly recommended to all new international students, and may be required based on TOEFL JR or TOEFL scores that are submitted during the application process. Please contact our
International Relations Coordinator for more details.
